Phase

Integration and Application focused on the development of integrated energy grid models for the ship types covered by JOULES (WG5), the verification and validation of the model data base (WP4) and the development of ship specific Life Cycle Assessment models (WG2). The technology suppliers (WG3) supported both the development of the application cases and the modelling. The phase was driven by WG5 and concluded by month 33.

Milestone (Month 33)

This milestone marked the availability of elaborated concepts for innovative energy chains for each of the application cases, consisting of a technical documentation, the corresponding integrated energy models and a first impact assessment. At the same time, the competition to select the most promising concepts for the demonstration phase was finished, allowing to select the demonstration cases. The milestone marked the starting point of the activities in Phase 4 and 5, which were conducted largely in parallel.
